Payment Methods: My preferred method is payment is non-credit card PayPal, sent to daphne@studiospirans.com. I do accept credit card payments at an alternate account; please contact me for information. I also accept postal or bank money orders, and will take personal checks if we have had a successful transaction in the past. If you are interested in purchasing an item from me, contact me before sending any payments.

Shipping I ship with USPS as it is still the most convenient method for me. All smaller items (medallions, models classic scale and smaller) are priced with the postage included. LB and Classic horses are sent priority with insurance and delivery confirmation, while medallions and SMs are sent first class. Postage is not included in traditional-scale prices, and it's up to the buyer whether they want parcel post, priority, or express mail; whatever you choose, it's mandatory that you pay for full insurance and delivery confirmation as well.

Time Payments: I accept time payments on a case by case basis for items over $100. Generally, my terms are 50% down, and 50% due within one month if the item is under $300; if it's over, I will extend it to 3 payments (1/3 each) over 2 months. However, I am willing to be somewhat flexible with these terms. Please note, however, that I will not take any time payments with installments of less than $50 per months. If we have not dealt before, you must provide references for time payments. All time payments must be made via money order or non-credit card PayPal.

Commissions: Finishwork commissions are accepted on a very limited, case-by-case basis. I do not actively solicit for commissions. As of November 2007, I am not accepting any new commissions. Generally, I will take a commission in trade for a very desirable item, or simply because someone has an unpainted resin I am very eager to work on (or a unique, well-done customized plastic). As a result, my commissions have generally come from word of mouth. If you are interested in commissioning me, feel free to e-mail me to discuss the horse you have in mind, but bear in mind that it will be at least April 2008 before I take on any others, and I reserve the right to turn down a commission simply because I'm not interested in the horse. I work very slowly and I only have so many hours in the week between my job and volunteering to paint; I want that time used on pieces that excite me! If I decide I am interested, I will send you my prices and policies for commissions. To give you an idea, my prices start at $75 for a solid SM adult (prepping included) and go up from there. Please note that I will make no promises about commissions for next year, but I am interested in hearing what people might like me to work on.

Alterations: I understand that sometimes there may be changes that an owner wants to make to a piece I finished. In the case that you own a horse painted by me and desire something changed, I ask that my work not be altered by another artist unless I give you explicit permission (either e-mailed or straight from me in person). In most cases, I will offer to make the changes myself rather than grant another artist permission (unless it is someone whose work I know well). If work is later sold in an altered state, any and all alterations must be stated and made clear to the purchaser before the transaction takes place. I understand that I cannot police my work to ensure that no other artists touch it, but this is a courtesy I ask of all customers and other artists, and hope that in this small hobby community we can respect these wishes. I sign my horses clearly and legibly with "D. Mazuz" followed by the date; if you are unsure who D. Mazuz is, it is not difficult to Google my name or ask around on lists (Mazuz is pretty unusual as last names go). I am always happy to work with owners of my pieces!
